Description
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop software components, APIs, and microservices that support automation and incident management
Collaborate with AI/ML specialists to integrate models into production workflows (anomaly detection, classification, prediction)
Build and maintain automation pipelines for proactive monitoring, ticket creation, and workflow orchestration
Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement processes
Analyze operational requirements and contribute to solution design alongside senior engineers
Work closely with NOC teams, network SMEs, and AIOps colleagues to operationalize automation features
Ensure solutions follow Bell’s security, performance, and reliability standards
Contribute to documentation, deployment, and monitoring of applications in production environments
Provides support for features deployed in production by monitoring performance, investigating issues, and resolving defects.
COMPETENCIES
Core Competencies (Must-have Competencies)
2+ years of experience developing applications using Python
2+ years of experience with AI/ML
2+ years of experience working with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Kafka
2+ years of experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and using version control systems (Git)
2+ years of experience developing APIs and microservices, and working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Complementary Competencies (Good-to-have Competencies)
Experience working using Java and Go
Knowledge of telecom networks (Wireless, Wireline, IP, transport) is an asset
Experience working with logs, metrics, or monitoring tools (observability) is an asset
Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to learn from senior team members
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Qualification/s
University degree in computer science, software engineering, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
